19.00 – Turner Room. The Van Mildert College Trust Scholars will present their re-search and talk about their experiences at Durham. More information to follow.

Wednesday 26th November – SCR Buffet Lunch

Thursday 27th November – IAS Lecture
Prof Howard Morphy – ‘The Journeys of the Djan’kawu Sisters—Ancestral Presence in Australian Aboriginal Art’.

SCR Children’s Christmas Party – Saturday, December 6

This annual and long-standing event will take place in the Ann Dobson Hall between 2.15 p.m. and 4 p.m.

It is open to the children and grandchildren of members of the SCR and College staff – children must be 8 years or under and must be accompanied by parent/grandparent.  There will be a party tea and a visit from Santa.  Games and activities will be provided by members of the JCR Primary School Project.

If you have no children to bring but would like to come along and help, and take the chance to get to know other members of the SCR and College staff, you would be very welcome!  Just let Caroline know  – thank you!

Christmas Reception, Carols by Candlelight, JRC Pantomime

Come and celebrate Christmas at Van Mildert by joining in the annual Carols by Candlelight followed by the JCR’s take on a traditional pantomime written and performed by the students themselves.

These events will be taking place on Sunday, December 7, starting with the SCR drinks reception in the Prowse Room at 6.30 p.m. followed by Carols By Candlelight in the Ann Dobson Hall at 7 p.m. and the pantomime at 8.30 p.m.
