Gary will be talking about his conservation work, finds from the River Wear and his involvement in the Durham River Wear Assemblage Project with Durham University.

The Van Mildert College Student Theatre group, Feather Theatre Company are putting on a production of Grease, for three consective nights at the end of February at the Caedmon Hall at the College of St Hild and St Bede.

Sunday 1st March – SCR Visit to Auckland Castle 

10.15 – Arrival, Auckland Castle
10.30 – Talk

The day will consist of a talk on the Auckland Project which discusses the origin and next steps of the project. It includes details of the restoration of Auckland Castle and the creation of the Tower and Galleries. As well as looking forward to their future developments in the form of the Spanish Gallery, Faith Museum and Walled Garden. After the talk we will have fully entry to the Castle, Galleries and Tower, for members to explore and enjoy.

SCR members are asked to make their own way to Auckland Castle for this visit as unfortunately the minibus is not available.
