Dear SCR Members,
We hope that you and your families are safe and well at this challenging time.
We are writing to you at the start of an Easter Term unlike any other that we have experienced at Van Mildert College. Last term, we took the decision to pause all SCR-related activities as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, with the health and wellbeing of our membership being a key priority. Unfortunately, as we remain unable to meet one another for the foreseeable future, we will continue to pause SCR activities for the Easter Term.
As an SCR Committee, we very much appreciate the support that you offer both to the Common Room and the College more widely. We hope to be able to review our provision later in the year, once any changes to restrictions are made clear and guidance is received on appropriate forms of gathering.
We do however remain a community and are looking at ways in which we can offer some form of online provision during this difficult time. We are pleased to hear that the Book Club is now meeting online and we hope to be able to offer other online SCR activities this term – we will be back in contact with you if we are able to establish any events or activities which you can join virtually.
