Cake by the Lake – a request and an invitation:
As part of the JCR Welfare “Stress Less” campaign there will be Afternoon Tea by the Lake on Sunday 25th May and 1st June from 2-4pm. In previous years members of the SCR have kindly donated cakes, shop-bought or homemade. If you are able to provide any delicious items for either (or both!) of these events, then please let Ben Hodgkiss, JCR Welfare Officer, know at [email protected] (or even if you want to know more about the Campaign).
Even if you are not able to bring anything, then please feel free to join the JCR for tea, cake and watching the new ducklings swim by!
Please find attached a basic guidance sheet from the College Operations Team regarding food hygiene which we are required to abide by for Health and Safety reasons, in particular note that we cannot accept items containing nuts or fresh cream. (I believe that the kitchen staff are going to look after any cake that is delivered before the event as they are also providing tea and coffee. Please note that if the weather is bad, we will have the cake in the JCR Well.)
Advance notice:
The JCR 48 Hour Production will take place on Tuesday, June 10, not Wednesday, June 11 as stated in the SCR Bulletin. There will be a pre-show drinks reception at 7 p.m. in the Prowse Room to which SCR, MCR and their guests are invited. The show this year is to be Mary Poppins and it is suitable for all the family! It should start at 7.30 p.m. in the Ann Dobson Hall. If you are interested in joining us please contact Caroline Boardman on [email protected]
