18:00, Van Mildert College. The event will be an opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary work done by more than 150 Mildertians as part of our six outreach projects. Refreshments will be provided throughout the evening from 6pm with the talks beginning at 6.45pm. Thursday 12th and Friday 13th May at The Assembly Rooms Theatre: ‘Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)’.
Pitch Productions presents ‘Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)’ by Ann-Marie Macdonald.
In this playful comedy – an original revision of Shakespeare’s Othello and Romeo and Juliet – we follow day-dreaming academic Constance Ledbelly through sword fights, seductions and cross-dressing shenanigans. Torn between the fiery Desdemona and the love-struck Juliet, Constance bumbles through two of the Bard’s’ most famous tragedies in search of a joker…and herself.

Wednesday 25th May at Van Mildert College: SCR Easter Dinner.
The official invitation noting speaker and menu details will be circulated shortly. To reserve a place please RSVP to [email protected] by Tuesday 17th May with any allergen and specific dietary requirements along with wine orders. Dress Code: Lounge Suit. Guests are welcome!

Saturday 28th (19:30) 
and Sunday 29th May (17:30), Holy Cross Chapel, Durham Cathedral: Songs of the Viennese Period, for guitar and voice.
Robin Thodey and Deryck Webb, will give a concert of Songs of the Viennese Period, for guitar and voice. This will be an authentic performance of how the songs would have sounded when the composers wrote them. The guitar is made by Roudhloff, no. 86, which is dated at around 1840. This is a concert not to be missed for those who love the delicate music of this genre and period.
